The first print from the studio. 150 total. Signed, numbered, museum-quality. When they're gone, they're gone.
Picasso said good artists borrow and great artists steal. Furniture makers have known this longer than painters. Every joint has been cut before. Every curve has been drawn before. Every chair I make is standing on someone else's shoulders — and usually admitting it.
This print is a study of a Sam Maloof low-back chair I built in the shop. Sam's been gone since 2009 but his line is still the one every serious maker eventually has to answer to. Building this chair was my answer. This print is the record.
The image was shot in-shop, printed on museum quality fine art paper, and signed and numbered by hand. When the edition sells out, that's it — the file goes in the drawer and I move on to Edition 002.

This is the first print I've ever released from the studio. When it's gone I'll move on to Edition 002 — another piece, another story, another limited run.
Thanks for being here at the start.
